The Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master is responsible for coaching and training teams on Scrum and Agile methodology, as well as facilitating process and removing roadblocks and driving the tactical day-to-day delivery process. The Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master will work with teams that have a variety of Agile experience and requires experience developing and strengthening Agile mindsets within a rapidly growing engineering team.
You should be able to collaborate with cross-functional and cross-corporate teams in a highly matrix environment, and drive product execution.
Key Responsibilities
Primary focus is on driving the tactical day-to-day product delivery process, including removing impediments that kill productivity or block the team’s progress. Facilitate Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Daily Standups, etc. Continually refine and evolve Agile processes with a goal of predictable software delivery. Protect the team from distractions and coordinate with Project Managers to remove impediments. Collaborate closely with Product Owners to prioritize a shared backlog to ensure agreed upon backlog items are prioritized, developed and released. Coordinate with other Project & Program managers, engineering, and product leads to identify and manage cross-team dependencies. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams by task assignment and follow-up to ensure on-time completion. Communicate on behalf of the project and/or engineering leads when required. Develop and monitor metrics to determine the success criteria for delivery. Required
2-5+ years' experience as a Technical Project Manager in Agile/Scrum software development environments. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe® Scrum Master certification is highly desired. Enthusiastic, highly motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude Amazing interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and run effective meetings Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork. Bachelor's degree required; technical degree preferred. Nice to Have
Professional experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Experience working with Point-of-Sale systems Mobile App or Web Service development experience
